The Minions answer to life’s miseries

There seems to be a lot of bad news about. You can’t ignore it. What you can do – and it’s what I do – is get a dose of Minion philosophy:

Were Minions “here” on the Mendocino Coast before logging began?

Until the photo below was accidentally discovered in the attic of a friend of a friend’s aunt we didn’t know. However the photo dated 3:47 pm late 1800’s proves beyond doubt that they did. Living in the woods is no great shakes and living on our G Scale layout (the Mendocino Model Railroad & Navigation Co.) is much more comfortable which is why they have increased in numbers from 6 to 35. Don’t forget to click on the pic to enlarge it.

What happened in the skirmish? Alas, we don’t know.

Minion Philosophy

We have Minions on the layout. I thought there were 37 of them. I was wrong. I was told unequivocally by a little person, “There are 35.” After said little person marched off clutching his father’s hand his mother came up to me. “I’m stunned,” she said. “I only thought he could count to 20 and that was in the bath using his toes!!!!!!” Well, that said I see we haven’t had any Minion philosophy of late so here’s a basin full.

Minion Hijack on the Mendocino Coast Model Railroad

Our layout is, at heart, an attempt to show the visitor how logging took place along the Mendocino Coast in the late 1800’s through the early 1949’s. But, as Frank Davis our Chief Operating Officer will tell you, a little whimsy is VERY popular with guests. Frank provides whimsy with a pack of Minions that have descended upon the layout. Frank is continually moving our Minions tribe around – so, you just never know what you might find those despicable little yellow fiends doing. One day the Minions decided that hijacking a MOW (Maintenance of Way) yarder and a Crummy belonging to the loggers was a good idea!

Here are the boys off on their adventure.

It’s Minion Time Again!!!

Minions Again

I need to kick start this blog so I thhought I’d consult some Minions:

Lego Minion and a breakneck speed “ride” on a Lego Railroad

We have a Lego train layout at our layout (The Mendocino Coast Model Railroad & Historical Society) for the kids. So every time I get a heads up on Lego trains I ‘m on it as quick as lightening. So, fasten your seat belt and hop on board.

Mesmerizing isn’t it? Did you notice the number of super duper Lego trains the guy has? And how much did all that track cost? Amazing.

Thanks to daughter Annalise for the heads up.

And the Lego Minion? Do you remember in the first movie one of the Minions makes a xerox copy of his butt?

Well how about a Minion made of Lego making a copy of his butt?

Minion Philosophy

The Minions who live on our layout have been busy sending me philosophical notes:
